Upgrade of Septic Tank
A Biorock filter can be installed after a septic tank to upgrade its status to a Part 3 treatment plant.
Note – the septic tank should be structurally sound & in good working order, not receiving any ground water.
This option would generally be offered if replacing the septic tank with a treatment plant is not possible due to access, levels, ground conditions, etc.
Existing system is in good order, however discharges to a watercourse and requires up grading due to the EA General Binding Rules.
Low & Intermittent Flow
Tolerates absence periods and variable loading conditions.
Suitable for glamping and camping sites and holiday homes where usage is seasonal.
Examples:
- Very low flow such as a single toilet.
- One or two toilets at a visitor/wildlife centre that has a low volume of visitors & is closed for several months of the year.
- Isolated work locations with toilet facilities – MOD site, Train signal box, National grid site etc.
Beasy:
Can be installed above or below ground.
Applications:
- Glamping pods – up to 4-persons for Glamping and camping as treats up to 300 litres per day.
- House annex
- Man cave
- Pool house
- Garden room
